You can’t sit inside, you make an order, wait for a drink and look for a table outside, where they then bring you a package with your order. the menu is too large, it is very difficult to figure out when to come to the cafe for the first time. we ordered two bagels, one was vegan and absolutely not tasty. I also ordered a cappuccino and got just coffee in which they poured a little whipped milk, the taste of coffee was disgusting
bagels were amazing!
had the bacon b-egg-l on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and dipped it in pesto cream cheese and it was delicious!! you can tell the bagels are fresh/homemade.
my parents had the lox bagel which they said was amazing as well.
service from the first younger employee was definitely lacking. she was extremely short and unhelpful when ordering but the second lady was so accommodating and helpful so that made up for it!
will definitely be returning! 10/10 for the food :)
Ordered the sausage, egg bagel. They put it on the wrong bagel that I ordered. The bagel didn't have much taste. I wasn't impressed with the sausage either. I wanted to spend some time and maybe grab lunch as well but there is no wifi so I left.
honestly opinion ok let me start by saying im not from Santa Barbara. I just left here w a blended mocha and a bagel sandwich ham bellpepper onion and 2 eggs t9wpaying $9 for a bagel that was MID average no flavor in the egg or bellpepper whatsoever the only reason i come bk is for the Blended mocha or than
The bagels used to be smaller and tastier but now they’re no different than a grocery store bagel that is doughy and lacks flavor. I’ve tried the blueberry, chocolate chip and sesame
The staff however is still very nice, patient, friendly and helpful. Five stars to the staff.
Another plus is that they’re taking the pandemic seriously. No dining in, orders to go or you can eat outdoors, masks required.
The Montecito bagel sandwich I had was pretty good because of the smoked salmon and tomatoes not because of the bagel. The smoked salmon isn’t too smoky or salty.
Wouldn’t recommend the bagels which is a shame but the rest is good though very expensive for not much.
I recently visited Jack's Famous Bagels and had a mixed experience. While I enjoyed the delicious bagels and found the staff to be friendly, there were a few notable drawbacks that affected my overall satisfaction.
Let's start with the positives. The bagels at Jack's Famous Bagels are undeniably yummy. They are fresh, flavorful, and have a satisfying texture. Whether you prefer classic options like plain or everything, or more adventurous flavors, the variety available will surely please your taste buds. Additionally, the workers were polite and accommodating, which added to the pleasant atmosphere.
However, I encountered some issues during my visit. The most significant problem was their lack of responsiveness to phone orders. Despite attempting to place an order over the phone, my calls went unanswered, making it difficult and inconvenient to place an order in advance. This lack of accessibility can be frustrating for customers who prefer the convenience of phone orders, especially when compared to establishments that prioritize this method of ordering.
Moreover, I was disappointed to learn that Jack's Famous Bagels does not offer online ordering. In today's fast-paced world, online ordering has become a popular and convenient option for many customers. It would be beneficial if the establishment embraced this technology, as it would make ordering more accessible and streamlined for their patrons.
During my recent visit, I had the opportunity to try their matcha, and unfortunately, it was a letdown. The matcha was recently added to their menu, but it seems that the staff hasn't mastered the art of preparing it properly. The taste and consistency were not up to par, which was disappointing for someone who enjoys a good cup of matcha.
I got the veggie burrito and it was dripping with juices. So wet and soggy (sorry) I could only eat half. Pretty disappointing. My boyfriend loved his bacon and egg burrito though.
I had a delicious plain bagel and a cup of coffee at this place.
